We welcome all types of volunteers, but we have a huge need for volunteers to answer our after-hours hotline. Hotline volunteers provide vital coverage so that help is available whenever someone asks for it.
Due to the sensitive nature of our programs, our volunteers are asked to complete an 80- hour training that will provide you the tools necessary to assist victims as a hotline worker. Additionally, background checks will be completed. The training and the background checks are free of charge. Opportunities other than hotline are also available to those interested, i.e. working the annual dinner dance, flower sale deliveries, etc.
Again thank you very much for your interest in helping us to fulfill VIP’s mission to educate the community about violence, empower victims of domestic and sexual violence to make choices that are right for them, and do so as we work together to envision a community without violence. On behalf of the staff, Board of Directors, and the victims you may never meet, please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your interest in our program.
