Our Services

Victims' Intervention Program offers the following services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

  • 24 Hour Crisis Hotline - 570-253-4401 or 1-800-698-4VIP.  We operate a crisis hotline 365 days a year for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault where people can get the information they need or speak to caring individuals trained in crisis intervention.
  • Crisis, Individual, and Group Counseling - Our confidential counseling services are provided in a safe, and comfortable place where you are in charge of your life decisions.  Our counselors provide support, help you explore options, and help you cope with whatever you are going through.
  • Counseling in Schools - For your convenience, our counselors also have the ability to meet with student clients during the school day at their own school.
  • Weekly Support Groups - We offer weekly support groups for survivors who are victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
  • Emergency Shelter Assistance - We can help you locate a shelter with available space.  Just give us a call at any time of day or night and we'll help you start on your new path.
  • Legal Advocacy - We work with survivors to assist them with protective orders (PFA's), victim compensation, and general assistance to navigate the legal system.
  • Accompaniment to: Court, Legal Aid, Police, Hospitals, and Social Service Agencies
  • Community Outreach and Education - Our Community Educators work throughout the community to educate individuals, businesses, hospitals, and schools about issues relating to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and about our agency.
  • Information & Referral - Anyone who calls for our services is welcome to ask us to assist them in getting the community resource information appropriate for their individual needs.
